सब कालन कौ काल, लोकपालन कौं पालै।

sab kaalan koo kaal, lokapaalan koon paalee

आपुन सदा स्वतंत्र, नियंता बुद्धि बिसालै॥

aapun sada svatantr, nijanta buddhi bisaalee

उपजावै सब बिस्व, रमै फिर ताके माहीं।

upadschaavee sab bisv, ramee phir taake maahiin

देखत भूली करै, परै भूलन में नाहीं॥

dekhat bhuulii karee, paree bhuulan men naaheen

षड् ऐस्वर्य समर्थ हरि, सो भगवत असरन-सरन।

schad eesvarj samarth hari, so bhagavat asaran-saran

तन-मन जन की बेदना, हरहु मोद-मंगल-करन॥1॥

tan-man dschan kii bedana, harahu mod-mangal-karan

भावार्थ-हे हरि, आप समस्त कालों के भी काल (महाकाल) हैं। आप लोकपालों का भी पालन करने वाले हैं। आप (कभी भी किसी अन्य के आश्रित न होने से) सदा स्वतन्त्र हैं। "विशाला" अर्थात् प्रकृति-रूप कारण और बुद्धि अर्थात् महत्तत्त्व आदि कार्य द्रव्य के नियामक आप ही हैं। आप स्वयं ही सम्पूर्ण विश्व-ब्रह्माण्ड की सृष्टि करके फिर उसमें रमण करते हैं। आप दृष्टि-मात्र से (विश्व को भुलावे में डाल देने वाली महाशक्ति) माया की रचना कर देते हैं; किन्तु स्वयं कभी इस (माया) के भुलावे में नहीं आते। आप ऐश्वर्य आदि छह शक्तियों से युक्त परम सामर्थ्यशाली हैं। इस अनाथ भगवत रसिक के तो आप ही एकमात्र रक्षक हैं। हे परम आनन्द और मंगल करने वाले श्रीहरि, आप अपने इस भक्त की समस्त शारीरिक तथा मानसिक वेदनाओं को दूर कर दीजिए ।।१।।

Bedeutung: O Hari, du bist die Zeit aller Zeiten (Mahakaal). Du bist auch der Beschützer der Beschützer der Welt. Du bist immer unabhängig (weil du nie von jemand anderem abhängig bist). Du bist der Beherrscher von „Vishala“, d. h. Naturform, Vernunft und Intellekt, d.h. Mahatattva usw., Handlung, Materie. Du selbst erschaffst das gesamte Weltuniversum und genießt es dann. Du erschaffst Maya (die große Macht, die die Welt täuscht) nur durch deinen Anblick; aber du selbst wirst nie von ihr (Maya) getäuscht. Du bist der Mächtigste, ausgestattet mit sechs Kräften wie Reichtum usw. Du bist der einzige Beschützer dieses verwaisten Bhagavat Rasik. O Shri Hari, derjenige, der höchste Freude und Glück schenkt, bitte befreie diesen deinen Anhänger von allen körperlichen und geistigen Schmerzen. 1.

Meaning: O Hari, you are the time of all times (Mahakaal). You are also the protector of the protectors of the world. You are always independent (because you are never dependent on anyone else). You are the controller of 'Vishala' i.e. natural form, reason and intellect i.e. Mahatattva etc., action, matter. You yourself create the entire world universe and then enjoy it. You create Maya (the great power that deceives the world) only by your sight; but you yourself are never deceived by it (Maya). You are the most powerful, endowed with six powers like wealth etc. You are the only protector of this orphaned Bhagavat Rasik. O Shri Hari, the one who bestows supreme joy and happiness, please free this devotee of yours from all physical and mental pains. 1.
